Nail Care, Corns, Callus & Warts

General foot care conditions can occur at any age but are more common with advancing age. Podiatrists are able to help treat these conditions by providing professional foot care advice. Common conditions of patients seen by our Podiatrists include:

  • Nail problems including ingrown nails, fungal infections and nail deformities
  • Corns, which are dense local areas of hard skin caused by recurrent pressure
  • Callous or hard skin caused by frictional forces and pressure over large areas
  • Plantar warts (verrucae) are a viral skin infection caused by the human papilloma virus

These common conditions can be caused by, but not limited to, trauma, ill-fitting footwear, poor circulation, systematic health issues, infection and poor biomechanics. Most often treatment can be undertaken on the day of your consultation. For more information regarding your treatment options please call and speak to one of our staff.
